Parent Cafés

United Way of the Coastal Bend offers a series of free Parent Cafés to better connect and empower parents to help shape their community, talk about important topics in raising families, and build more solid relationships.

The Parent Café series is a collaborative partnership between United Way of the Coastal Bend, Success By 6, Help Me Grow, along with Catholic Charities' Parents as Teachers (PAT); Education Service Center Region 2's HIPPY Program;  and MCH Family Outreach.

What is a Parent Café?

Parent Café was first started in 2007 by Strengthening Families Illinois. The idea is simple: parents get together for small group conversations, called Cafés, to talk through issues, share ideas, and give feedback about programs that help their families.
