Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Free Income Tax Prep

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free income tax return preparation to those who qualify.

VITA sites and the schedule is shown below for the current tax filing season. Those seeking free assistance can also use MyFreeTaxes online at www.myfreetaxes.com or go to irs.gov and click on the 'Do Your Taxes For Free' link.
 
If your 2024 household income was $67,000 or less, you can have your taxes prepared FOR FREE by an IRS-certified volunteer at one of several Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites in Corpus Christi.

  • Del Mar College, Heritage (East) Campus - 101 Baldwin Blvd., (New location) Viking Hall, Room A142

In-person - Tues. & Thurs. 2-6 PM (Opens Jan. 28; Closed week of March 10)

  • Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi - 6300 Ocean Drive, O'Connor Business Building, Rm. 135

In-person & drop-off - Fri. 2-6 PM, Sat.-Sun. 1-6 (Opens Feb. 7; Closed March 14-16)

  • Goodwill Industries of South Texas - 4135 Ayers St.

Drop-off only - Mon. & Wed. 5:30-8:30 PM, Sat. 1:30-4PM (Opens Jan. 27; Closed week of March 10)

  • United Way of the Coastal Bend - 4659 Everhart Road

Drop-off only - Tues. & Thurs. 9 AM - Noon (Opens Jan. 28)

  • Veterans Memorial High School - 3750 Cimarron Blvd. - Library

Drop-off only - Wednesdays 5-7 PM (Opens Feb. 5, Closed week of March 10)
